Trump v. Hillary: Rational Decision Maker vs. Blind Ideologue

Trump Deal With it

The following comes from The Deus Ex Machina Blog ~ “A blog dedicated to chronicling the ‘Restoration of all thing in Christ.'” The author, S. Armaticus, a Catholic, recently explained why he is voting for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton. His opinion echoes elements of our own opinion expressed on The Remnant not too long ago:

Donald Trump is a salesman, a businessman, and a competitor. He is old school, tough, blunt. But most importantly, he deals firmly in reality. Because to get results in business you have to deal in reality or you go bankrupt. I believe this key fact is a huge one for Catholics. The very philsophical foundation of our Faith  is recognizing that there is an objective reality and conforming our thought to be in accord with it.

In contrast, all liberals, especially Hillary Clinton, live in a world of ideology completely unmoored from reality. This is inherently dangerous… When leaders start trying to conform society to principles against reality you end up with totalitarianism because you need the force of the state to try to continually change a reality that will not change…

Although Trump does not have a 100% Catholic platform, and would never be elected in our society if he did, the one thing he has is common sense. He does what works to get tangible results. With a man who operates based on reality, on what works, on the practical, one can have a conversation. With a progressive ideologue, there is no conversation. Because that person rejects all of the reality based premises you are starting from. They work off of the false premises that white people are all oppressors and have “privelege”, all men are sexists, there are no differences between genders, gender is a social construct, following one’s religious teachings upholding the natural law is discriminatory and prejudiced. There is no compromise with such an individual because they are living in an unreal world of their own construction.

The Modern Christian Temptation to Confuse Personality With Character

NEW YORK, NY - JUNE 16: (L-R) Eric Trump, Lara Yunaska Trump, Donald Trump, Barron Trump, Melania Trump, Vanessa Haydon Trump, Kai Madison Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Donald John Trump III, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, and Tiffany Trump pose for photos on stage after Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the U.S. presidency at Trump Tower on June 16, 2015 in New York City. One thing I have noticed a lot of well meaning Catholics doing when it comes to Donald Trump is to confuse personality with character. In our soft American parishes today we are used to hearing constant messages about being polite and nice often at the expense of any real substantive Catholic teaching. The problem is that there are plenty of people who are very polite, nice, and well-mannered on the outside, but corrupt on the inside. Very many politicians come to mind (think Hillary Clinton). They talk a very good game, but their actions are quite a different story.

Enter Donald Trump. Trump is the exact opposite of what almost every social justice priest at your local guitar Mass says a Christian should be. He’s brash, boasting, confident, tough, unyielding, demanding, and blunt. In our very feminine and politically correct Church of 2016, these attributes alone are enough to horrify sensitive Catholic parishioners and have them mistakenly assume the man is evil , immoral, and Satan incarnate.

The Media is Losing Its War With President Trump

Fake News Alert! The disgraced Washington Post just published another doozy called “President Trump is losing his war with the media” In the second sentence, they debunk their own headline by, we kid you not, admitting that the media has a lower approval rating than Donald Trump. Thus, WaPo fact checks and debunks their own story and finds it false. Case closed.

Although we disagree with Prager’s situational-ethics analysis on certain points, he makes other good points as to why conservatives on the fence should vote Trump in November:

Narrated Video Proving Trump Never Mocked Reporter’s Disability

WaPo Claims Ann Coulter is Wrong to Say Trump Didn’t Mock Reporter’s Disability. (She Isn’t.)

SERGE-KOVALESKI

On August 31st, Ann Coulter wrote an excellent column explaining how the media, especially the Washington Post, has been deliberately dishonest in claiming that Donald Trump mocked a New York Times reporter’s disability. In her column she generously cites to previous articles Catholics 4 Trump has written on this issue. She also mentions that a comment we submitted in response to an August 10th Washington Post story on the subject by Callum Borchers was mysteriously deleted. After discovering this, we  decided to take apart Borchers’ dishonest piece point by point on our own site on August 15th. You can read it here: Washington Post Deletes Video Evidence Showing Trump Didn’t Mock Reporter’s Disability

Imagine our surprise when, lo and behold, the day after Coulter released her latest column, WaPo writer, Callum Borchers wrote yet another dishonest piece trying to defend himself, his fellow media, and his candidate Hillary Clinton from Coulter’s charges. Oh, if we only had a friend as loyal as Mr. Borchers.

Nevertheless, mission accomplished! Although Borchers was forced to surround the videos with excuses, we have finally gotten the Washington Post to publish important video files of Trump impersonating a flustered general and a flustered Cruz as well as link to video footage of the non-spastic reporter. But that’s not all. As a special favor to Borchers for posting all of the evidence to WaPo readers, we’ve decided to give him one more surprise video to share at the end of this article. You’re welcome, Callum!

Washington Post Deletes Video Evidence Showing Trump Didn’t Mock Reporter’s Disability

On August 10th the Washington Post’s Callum Borchers wrote a particularly dishonest piece called, “People love it when Donald Trump makes fun of journalists — except one in particular” . It reported on a recent Bloomberg poll that asked respondents what statement/action of Trump’s bothered them the most. Still waiting for the Hillary version of this? You’ll be waiting along time.

Of course, one of the actions the poll asked people to rate was “Trump’s criticism of a reporter that was seen as mocking the reporter’s physical disability.” Note “that was seen as…” Don’t you love it? Who saw it that way? People who watched the video of Trump with the media caption “Trump mocks disabled reporter” plastered on it? The media created the impression that Trump was mocking the reporter’s disability when in fact this was not the case as we have shown:

WaPo “Fact Checker” Gets 4 Hillarys for Ignoring Evidence Trump Didn’t Mock Reporter’s Disability

glenn-kessler

Today, Glenn Kessler, “Fact Checker” for the Washington Post wrote an article entitled, “Donald Trump’s revisionist history of mocking a disabled reporter.” So right from the beginning you can see he intended to be completely fair and balanced. No, instead he repeated the same old party line on this story, gave Trump “4 Pinocchios” and moved on. Fortunately for you, we are here to hold him and the rest of the media accountable every step of the way.

The first thing to notice about the WaPo “Fact Check” is that it does not once show video of Serge Kovaleski, the disabled NewYork Times reporter. Instead, WaPo only shows you video footage of Trump impersonating a flustered reporter who Trump claims is trying to backtrack from his 2001 reporting. Note carefully what WaPo’s “Fact Checker” states  about the video (emphasis added):

A YouTube account that goes by the name “Angie Grover” is the creator of two of the videos we featured in our now viral article titled “Donald Trump Did Not Mock a Reporter’s Disability” which can be read here:

The creator of the videos wrote us recently, thanking us for exposing this media deception and giving thoughts about it. We thought it was worth sharing below. Please show your appreciation by checking out the videos exonerating Trump and thanking Angie Grover for helping expose the media and turn the tables on Hillary in this election!
